Judge Paschke has served as Judge in the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas, General Division since January 1, 2017 and is currently serving as Presiding Judge. Prior to becoming Judge, she served as Magistrate for the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas from 2013 until taking the bench in January 2017. Before she began working for the court, she was the owner and managing attorney for Paschke & Associates, Co. LPA, where she practiced in Common Pleas, Municipal and Federal Courts throughout Northeast Ohio. Judge Paschke received her BA from Miami University and her JD from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law.   Judge Paschke started the New Leaf Program, the first Drug Court in Geauga County, in June of 2019. She also serves on the Judicial Advisory Board for NEOCAP and on several committees for the Ohio Common Pleas Judges Association.   Judge Paschke is a past President of the Geauga County Bar Association and a recipient of the OSBA Community Service Award for Attorneys under 30. Judge Paschke has recently taken up kayaking, she is certified in Scuba and loves downhill skiing. She still plays softball in the “Old Ladies’ League.”

Maureen graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Youngstown State University in 1997. She has been in her career as a Parole/Probation Officer for 24 years and has worked with the Adult Parole Authority and the Ashtabula County Adult Probation Department, where she assisted in the creation of their Mental Health Court. In 2018, she was hired by Geauga County Court of Common Pleas as the Specialized Docket Coordinator to assist in creating the New Leaf Program. In her free time, she enjoys taking nature walks, volunteering for her local fire department and social clubs, golf, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Greg is from Marion, Ohio where he graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1999. He then went on to Bowling Green State University and graduated in 2003. After graduation, Greg worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Marion, Ohio serving as the program’s One-to-One Coordinator. In the Spring of 2004, he moved to Columbus, Ohio where he started working at The Buckeye Ranch. There he held the Position of Senior Youth Leader working with Duel Diagnosed youth from ages 13-17. In the Summer of 2006, he was hired by the Franklin County Adult Probation Department. He was a Probation Officer there for the next 10 years holding positions of Specialized Sex Offender Probation Officer and Intensive Supervision Officer. In 2016, Greg had the opportunity to move to the Great Geauga County where he had the privilege to be a stay at home dad for his 2 children for 2 years. In September of 2018, Greg was offered a position with the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas as a Probation Officer. In October of 2020, with the expanding growth of Geauga’s Specialized Drug Court Docket, Greg transferred into his current position as the Probation Officer for the New Leaf Program.

Sheriff Hildenbrand graduated from Chardon High School and Auburn Career Center before attending Lakeland College. He has been a member of the Hambden Fire Department since April 1981 and Chief since 1995. Following his 13 years at the Chardon Police Department, Sheriff Hildenbrand started his career with the Geauga County Sheriff’s Department and became Sheriff elect in January 2017. He is very active in the community and enjoys spending time with his family.

Nick is an assistant prosecutor with the Geauga County Prosecutor’s Office. He has been with the office since 2009. In his role as prosecutor, he handles all levels of felony charges brought against defendants in the Court of Common Pleas. With regard to Drug Court specifically, he is involved in screening cases of individuals who may be a good fit for Drug Court, and he helps ensure proper legal procedures are followed and proper legal sanctions are imposed if a participant were to violate the conditions of the program. He has been pretty actively going to the gym to exercise for the last several years. He finds this to be a good pro-social activity and a great way to settle his mind and body down after a long, stressful day.

Bob, a U.S. Air Force veteran trained as a Chinese linguist, previously worked as a social worker at the Ashtabula and Stark County Welfare Departments before attending law school at Cleveland-Marshall while working full-time for Federal District Court Judge, Thomas D. Lambros. He began his career in law as an Assistant Public Defender in Wayne County then was appointed Chief Geauga County Public Defender in January 1990. He was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Legislative Task Force which produced the Spangenberg Report on Indigent Defense in Ohio and is currently serving his third term on the 9-member State Public Defender Commission having been re-appointed by the Chief Justice in August of this year. Consequently, based upon his experience in social work and criminal defense, he can honestly say the majority of his clients in either field would not require services or representation if not for the direct or indirect consequences of substance abuse. The New Leaf Drug Court Program implemented by Judge Paschke is the first effort in the County to provide real support and assistance in a comprehensive approach to people enmeshed in the criminal justice system due to their substance abuse. Bob’s wife, Marie, retired as a Domestic Relations Magistrate and is currently active as a volunteer in the Harriet Tubman Movement. Outside of work you can usually find Bob at his barn with their horses.

Jan has worked in the criminal justice system for 41 years now. She spent the first 30 years as a probation/parole officer with the Adult Parole Authority and has been with NEOCAP for the past 11 years. Her role on the Drug Court team is to assist in determining what treatment options are best for each participant and she interviews all offenders prior to them entering NEOCAP. In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy going for long rides and hunting for antiques or “lost treasures.”

Sally is a member of Drug Court at the Geauga County Common Pleas Court. She has been a chemical dependency counselor at Lake-Geauga Recovery Center since 9-18-08. She has been in the field for over 25 years and loves what she does as an outpatient counselor. She graduated from Frostburg State College in 8/79 with a degree in Sociology and Political Science. She is also a recovering alcoholic of over 34 years and truly believes in drug and alcohol treatments. She also has developed an understanding of what the mission of the Drug Court is and the support and compassionate professionals have for assisting clients in improving their lives and acknowledge for themselves their true potential. She is so proud to be a part of this program and hopes to continue to learn more as a counselor, woman and recovering alcoholic.

Erin graduated from Walden University with a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialization in Addictions. She is a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant and began providing case management services to clients over 5 years ago at a community based correctional facility. She now works for Family Pride of Northeast Ohio as the Reentry Case Manager at the Geauga County Safety Center. She is a United States Navy veteran and served as an Air Traffic Controller. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, making crafts, camping, traveling, and gardening.

Liz is the MAT Clinical Coordinator at Ravenwood Health. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Criminology and Psychology from Ohio University and she received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Akron. Liz started her career at Ravenwood in 2018 as a Dual Diagnosis Criminal Justice Therapist before making the transition into her current role in June 2021. In her spare time, Liz enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and watching true crime documentaries.

Jeniffer is the Criminal Justice Coordinator at Ravenwood Health. She has been employed as a dual diagnosis therapist at Ravenwood since January 1999. Over the years she began working with the dual diagnosis criminal justice population and in March 2022 she transitioned to the Criminal Justice Coordinator role. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from The Ohio State University and completed her Masters of Education in Community Counseling from Kent State University. In her spare time, Jenn enjoys being with her family and 5 children, hanging with her dogs, watching Forensics Files, and grilling.

David is a Clinical Supervisor and Director of Residential Services with the Lake-Geauga Recovery Center. He is a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor who has thirty-seven years’ experience working in the Chemical Dependency Treatment field. He is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and admissions to all residential treatment and recovery houses.

Matt graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Matt was hired as a Caseworker at Geauga County Job and Family Services (GCJFS) in 2007. Matt was promoted to Social Services Supervisor in 2012. He worked closely in developing the rollout of Differential Response when it began in Geauga County. On a personal level, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. Matt like spontaneous day trips with his family and finding new places to eat and explore. Lastly, he is avid golfer and diehard Cleveland sports fan.
