This holiday season the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas and Geauga County Clerk of Courts (hereafter courthouse employees) were able to establish different methods of giving back to the community. This was spearheaded by both of our Judges Mathew Rambo and Carolyn Paschke and the Clerk of Courts Sheila Bevington to provide for those during what could be a tough winter season. During December, courthouse employees have had the privilege to work with The Geauga County Veteran Food Pantry and Geauga County Job and Family Services to provide for those in the community. Judge Rambo had this to say about what supporting the Geauga County Veteran Food Pantry means to him:
“I am passionate about giving back to veterans who are often-overlooked. Their need for necessities is heightened in the winter season. Making a conscious effort to help veterans is one of the strongest ways to honor and show appreciation for their sacrifice.”
Courthouse employees also have had the privilege of sponsoring a holiday giving tree for a Geauga County family this holiday season. This effort is a collaborative effort throughout the courthouse. The tree and presents as shown below are an annual tradition that we have been carrying on for almost a decade. Judge Paschke had this to say regarding the tradition:
“We have had the good fortune of being able to share with others this holiday season. I am Grateful for the generosity of the court and clerk’s employees.”
During this holiday season we encourage you to look out for those you know who need assistance. As well we hope that you have a happy and safe holiday season. From all courthouse employees: Happy Holidays to all!
